A Regulated, Accountable Firm
Inter Canada Immigration Counsel is directed by Sisay Hishe Assefa, a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant and RCIC-IRB licensee, qualified and authorized to represent clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. Every file at the firm is handled under a professional code of conduct set by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants, with accountability that unregulated consultants cannot offer.
The RCIC-IRB designation is held by a smaller group of consultants and permits representation in refugee protection claims, refugee appeals, detention reviews, admissibility hearings, and immigration appeal matters. This means a client's file does not need to move to a different representative if a case proceeds to a hearing.
The firm's work is focused exclusively on Canadian immigration matters, with every file reviewed under Sisay's direction as Director. The team also includes immigration lawyers, who work alongside the RCIC team within the same immigration-focused practice. The firm works with clients across Canada and internationally, including individuals applying from outside the country and those already living, working, or studying in Toronto.
